FOOD RESOURCE GUIDE

Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS), collaborating with Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, will host new weekly mobile meal distributions beginning Thursday, Dec. 2nd. Each Thursday, parents, guardians, and children can pick up free meal boxes consisting of breakfast and lunch for five days at community centers throughout the county. Adults should only pick up meals for children in their households.

  • Rollingcrest Community Center (6120 Sargent Road, Chillum, MD) from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m
  • Langley Park Community Center (1500 Merrimac Drive, Hyattsville, MD) from 3:00 p.m.– 4:00 p.m

FREE LITTLE PANTRIES

The PTO is also setting up “Free Little Pantries” (similar to “Free Little Libraries”) on the school grounds for anyone in the community facing food insecurity. The first one has been placed inside the gazebo at 33rd Street and Bunker Hill Road and two more are coming soon.
