During this challenging time, we hope to share as many resources as we can to help support our children and our community. Information on PG County Public School’s response to the situation can be found here.

Starting Tuesday, March 17, any student, with or without a parent/guardian, may go to any one of these sites to pick up both meals and a snack between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.  Thomas Stone Elementary has been recently included as one of the sites.

Adults may not pick up meals for children. There will be school system staff in the cafeteria or parking lot, depending on weather, to distribute the meals. PGCPS will monitor demand and add more sites if needed. No student should go hungry during this crisis.

The PTO is also setting up “Free Little Pantries” (similar to “Free Little Libraries”) on the school grounds for anyone in the community facing food insecurity. The first one has been placed inside the gazebo at 33rd Street and Bunker Hill Road and two more are coming soon.
